What are you saying to yourself repeatedly?

Writers tend to be sensitive people. And we all say some pretty nasty things to ourselves from time to time.

However, the negative things we tell ourselves can become self-fulfilling prophecies if we aren’t careful. This is because we will become what we say over and over to ourselves.

This is why it’s important to have three to five positive affirmations that we tell ourselves every morning. Then, minimally, we can at least balance off the negative ones with our positive ones.

But more importantly, if we start off in a positive mindset in the morning, we’ll probably be positive for the rest of the day. This is one of the best ways to have a productive day.

This is because when you come to your desk with a lot of negative feelings and emotions, you will probably feel less and inspired and empower to write. Instead, you will get to your desk and you will putter, cruising the internet or doing things that won’t be in line with completing your goals.  

So why not start your day positively? Pay attention to what you tell yourself, and turn those negative statements into positives by starting positively right from the get-to in the morning.
