This week, I will ponder how hard it is for beginning writers to begin to make their way. It is never easy for writers to know what they should and what they should not be writing about. I believe it is important for writers to have an open mind and to try different types of writing before they commit to ONE particular genre of writing. I know this was my process when I started writing academically. So, don’t limit yourself in the beginning. Try different kinds of writing and have fun with the process. It can be fun. You just have to let it and don’t let anyone, not even your instructors or mentors, to ruin it for you. After all, they are supposed to be encouraging you. Have a great writing week! ~ Irene
