Many of us have no idea what makes us happy and puts a smile on our face. This is just as true for writers as others. This is just as true for writers as others. I was guilty of this too, and still am. I was guilty of this too, and still am. It takes me a long time to do something I enjoy after I finish a project or a goal. I just prefer to carry on and keep going. But this is precisely what we shouldn’t be doing.
The question still remains: do you know what you enjoy? Do you have a list of the things you can do to put a smile on your face?
If you don’t know what you enjoy, try to bring to mind something that you do enjoy. Is it going for a coffee or downtown to buy yourself something? Or perhaps you have a cute cat café you’d like to explore? Do you enjoy going out for lunch or dinner? Do you have hobbies? Do you like certain foods? Do you enjoy a glass of wine with a few lit candles? Do you like sewing or crocheting?
Once you determine what you enjoy, you can have that list handy for when you complete a goal. Just be sure that it is something that makes you feel good and lifts you up.
